Students in 3rd grade learned the song "Great Big House" which helped us to learn how to play different instruments parts as a class together. We also talked about the form of the song A (song) B (math!) A (song), plus we got to throw in some math facts! Mrs. Bearden's class did a great job learning their parts and playing together. All of the 3rd grade classes did a fantastic job on their performance both after school and again on Monday for the school! I'm proud of all the hard work they put into their program and thank you to everyone who came out to see them and who donated to our music program! I'm excited for these students to keep working hard and getting better and better! Below are videos of the evening programs.
this year’s third grade program is on November 9! Program A will start at 6 PM and program B will start at 6:45 PM. Mrs. Fitz Patrick Strickland and Joslyn‘s classes are program A and Mrs. Mayberry Nolan’s in Bearden class is program B. The music program will be our patriotic program; celebrating America and remembering our veterans. Students are asked to wear a red shirt (Fitzpatrick and Mayberry), a white shirt (Strickland and Nolan), or a blue shirt (Joslin and Bearden). Below is a sneak peek of our song America accompanied by bells! 3rd grade students practices different note lengths by bouncing tennis balls!! Quarter notes got one beat bounces, half not two beat bounces and whole notes got four beat bounces. It’s harder than it looks!
