A Perfect Winter Day Part 1: It was a-snowin’. The wind was blowin’. The snow was fallin’ all around me. I was a’slidin’. My feet were glidin’. It was a perfect winter day! What a perfect day to build a snowman, build a snowman, build a snowman. What a perfect day to build a snowman, a perfect winter day! Part 2: I don’t particularly like the winter. I always get (sniff) a head (sniff) cold. (sniff) I think it’s cold and wet and messy and sloppy just a perfect winter, if you like that sort of thing. I have a headache. My eyes itch. My nose is clogged. Oh, I feel crummy on this perfect winter day! Parts 1 & 2 together Everybody sings: Yes it’s a perfect winter day! (Achoo!) The 2nd grade is getting into the fall season. We are learning "The Harvest" song and getting to bounce a ball to the beat and learning about what the harvest is. They are learning to play short patterns on the glockenspiel while they play a listening game to a song about a poor little kitty cat. Students are learning a song about the winter, called "A Perfect Winter Day." They will be learning a song about Christopher Columbus with a glockenspiel accompaniment. They are working hard and learning a lot!
